I have some b&w dm11 speakers. I have always enjoyed them and now the left speaker the bass has dropped out of it. The b&w dealer in my city closed down. I have been trying to repair it myself, I changed the fuse on both speakers, i had blown a fuse before and fixed it with a new fuse this time new fuses and still the same problem. I took out the speaker and everything looks good, all the sotter is still strong, the speakers dont looked aged at all or show any wear. I have tried the speakers on other receivers still the same problem and my receiver plays other speakers fine. is there any hope for this speaker should i just toss it and cave in go get new speakers in a city that has no b&w dealer in it

Did they fail after being played loud? If so the voice coil could be damaged.
I suggest you take out the bass driver that is the problem, unplug it making a note which wire goes where, and test it with battery (small 1.5v one will work) accross the terminals. If the drive unit is ok it will jump out or in slightly. If nothing happens then the voice coil is likely damaged. Let me know how it goes and I will suggest the next step.

Oh yea the battery trick I knew that one. I did it a 1.5 on my bass driver and we got a little jump up and down. If its not the bass driver is that good news?
